Why Knoc

Built for the people who keep neighborhoods safe

Everything you need to run a private, trusted community — and nothing you don't.

Coordinate Evidence Sharing

When something happens on the block, residents share doorbell and security footage directly with you and law enforcement — no group text chaos.

Route Incidents to the Right People

Direct safety alerts to the right neighbors, forward verified footage to police, and keep your community informed — all from one dashboard.

Broadcast Safety Updates

Send community-wide alerts without a Facebook group or newsletter. Every approved resident gets your message — and only your residents.

Private and Verified by Design

You approve every resident. No strangers, no algorithms, no public feed. A Knoc community is exactly as private as you make it.

FAQ

Questions We Hear Most

Everything most applicants want to know before applying.

A Community Manager is the person who creates and runs a private Knoc neighborhood community. You decide who gets in, moderate the conversation, and act as the trusted point of contact between Knoc and your neighbors. You can be an HOA board member, a neighborhood watch coordinator, a block captain, or any resident who wants to step up.

The main responsibility is reviewing resident join requests in a timely manner — typically within 24 to 72 hours. Beyond that, you are encouraged to post safety updates, moderate the community room, and keep member information accurate. There is no minimum activity requirement.

Most applications receive a decision within one to two business days. If we have questions about your neighborhood or application, we will reach out by email before making a decision.

No. Any motivated resident — block captain, neighborhood watch volunteer, concerned homeowner — can apply. We look for people genuinely committed to the safety and wellbeing of their community, not a particular job title.

Each Knoc community has one designated Community Manager. If your HOA has multiple officers who need access, please note that in your application and we will work with you on the right setup.

Right now each manager runs one community. If you have a genuine need to run more than one neighborhood — for example, a property manager covering several HOAs — email [email protected] and Tyler will work with you directly.

You will receive an email with your community's unique invite link and instructions for getting started. Share that link with your neighbors however you already communicate — HOA newsletter, email list, group text. Residents follow the link, submit a join request, and you approve them one by one.

Request a community

Tell us about yourself and your neighborhood. Tyler at Knoc reviews every application personally.

Tyler will see this when he reviews your request. Use the name your neighbors know you by.

We send the approval decision to this address. Use one you actually check.

The name your neighbors use — "Horse Creek Ranch," "Maplewood HOA," "the block between 5th and 7th on Oak." A sentence is fine.

Your home address (required)

Tyler uses this to verify you live in the neighborhood you're organizing. It's never shown publicly.
