Sending footage to a neighbor
When a neighbor asks for help on Knoc, even a short clip or a quick note can make a real difference. Here's how to respond.
Open the notification
Tap the link from the text or email you got, or open Knoc and find the request in your feed. You'll see what your neighbor is looking for and when it happened.
Check your cameras and phone
Look at your camera history for the time and date in the request — say, "around 7 PM on Thursday." Photos on your phone count too. Even small things help, like "I heard tires screech."
Open the request on Knoc
Tap into the incident your neighbor filed. You'll see the details and a form to upload what you found.
Upload what you have
Use Upload to attach:
- Video clips (a doorbell or driveway cam).
- Photos (a snapshot from your window).
- A short note ("Saw a red van speeding away at 7:05 PM").
If a clip is long, trim it down to the relevant bit so your neighbor can find it quickly.
Submit and check back
Hit Send to share what you uploaded. If your neighbor follows up ("Can you zoom in?"), you'll see it in your Knoc messages.
