Steps to Share Ring Camera Video Clips

If a neighbor has requested evidence via Knoc.us and you’ve got relevant footage from your Ring camera, sharing it is quick and easy. Follow these steps to locate and share your Ring footage directly into Knoc.us:

1. Open the Ring App

Launch the Ring app on your phone or tablet and log in if needed.

2. Find the Footage

Go to the “History” or “Events” tab to see your recorded clips.

Locate the footage that matches the incident’s date and time (e.g., “March 20, 2025, around 7:00 PM”).

3. Access the Share Option

Tap on the specific video clip to open it.

Look for the share icon in the lower left corner of the tab navigation (it looks like a box with an arrow pointing up).

Tap the share icon.

4. Copy the Share Link

In the sharing menu, tap “More Options” (this might vary slightly by device—look for additional sharing tools).

Select “Copy” to copy the footage’s shareable URL to your clipboard.

5. Share It on Knoc.us

Open the Knoc.us app or visit https://knoc.us and go to the neighbor’s request on the incident page.

Find the “Ring Share URL” field in the reply section.

Tap and hold to paste the copied URL, then submit your response.

Tips for Success

  • Double-Check: Ensure the footage matches the requested time and location before sharing.
  • Trim If Needed: Use the Ring app to shorten long clips to just the relevant part—it’s easier for neighbors to review.
  • Add a Note: Include a quick message in Knoc.us (e.g., “Here’s my Ring clip from 7:02 PM”) for clarity.
